Chai-Di-Hutti (The Hut of Tea) is introducing innovative and exciting new flavours of world teas and Indian street food, selected carefully from different regions of India. We are opening our first food kiosk in Shambles Market, York on 8th of April, running on weekends, under the brand name NUKKAD (‘street corner’ in Hindi). Every street in India has a Nukkad; it is a place where locals hang out, gossip and socialise over authentic home-cooked fast food. Our aim is to recreate that environment; bringing people together to enjoy our street food and socialise.
Our Chai menu offers various flavours of delicious and refreshing Indian Chai and other speciality world teas, rarely available in British cafes. We serve a wide selection of teas which perfectly complement our food offer.
Chaat (Street Food)
Mouth-watering recipes like Kathi Roll, Dosa, Tikki Chat, Vada Pav and many more are enjoyed with Chai daily by millions of people on Indian streets for socialising. NUKKAD now brings that vibrant culture and colourful food from our home kitchen to the City of York and the 7 million tourists who visit this city every year.
